So a weird thing started happening yesterday when I got some new filament. I’ll start the print the filament comes out flawless for the first few minutes then it stops extruding. The extruder is still spinning but the filament isn’t coming out. There is no jam because once I pull it out and out in some old lulzbot pla I have it comes right out. I thought since these filaments are higher strength the temp. Is too low and went up to the max of 270 when thermal runaway kicked in. But it still wouldn’t extrude. I have the dual extruder and the regular and tried it on all 3 with the same results. What could cause it to stop extruding like that out of the blue. And if I run a little old pla and then put back in the new one again it will work a few minutes then stop again. These are the filaments.
Just saw that someone has a similar issue. Could it be from the firmware. I did flash the newest drunken octopus yesterday. And thought it might be that so I re flashed a differ build, Taz 4 or5 single extruder instead of dual extruder and it still did the same. So I flashed back to dual
If the hobbed bolt is still spinning, but the filament is extruding, then it’s not a firmware issue.
