Filament Sensor remains Triggers even when no filament is present

Basically what the title says. But for a little more context, this ONLY happens while the printer is running-- if the printer is at rest and I am using M119 to check the sensor, it changes from TRIGGERED (filament is present) to OPEN (no filament is present).

While testing, I cut the filament and let it run through. Then I paused the printer and checked the sensor status, it thinks it is triggered still.

I am experimenting with the official sensor, which seems to be detected just fine as long as the center pin is on the assigned Filament Runout Sensor pin on the board.

Has anyone else seen this or can anyone enlighten me?

Thanks in advance!

So been testing, have not tried with just the printer printing without Octoprint-- will it send the open/triggered state to Octoprint like a CR10v3? I mean one would think right? I don’t remember the firmware needing anything special added to it to do that.
